Pickleball: Podcast Message
Rules, Tricks, Master Charlie’s Wisdom, and Staying Fit Enough to Enjoy the Game
From the essay
You know, pickleball is a strange game. It has strange rules, strange strategy, and even strange terminology. Why is part of the court called the kitchen? Why is a soft little shot called a dink? Why do we announce the score like a secret code — three numbers instead of one? And why does a game that looks so friendly suddenly become fast, tactical, aggressive, and surprisingly exhausting? That is part of the charm.
