PREVENTION: DOES IT HAVE TO BE AN UPHILL BATTLE?
WHY UPHILL BATTLE?
From the essay
Prevention often feels like an uphill battle due to the human tendency to focus on immediate, tangible costs rather than future, abstract benefits. The psychological barrier stems from our difficulty in visualizing the future outcomes of preventive actions. This is where tools like visualization, simulations, or side-by-side comparisons can be extremely effective in helping people "see" the consequences of prevention versus neglect.
