GUIDE FOR SOCIAL WORKERS & THERAPISTS
Supporting Survivors of Epstein-Type Exploitation
From the essay
Survivors of Epstein-type operations—involving grooming, carefully controlled environments, scripted encounters, secrecy, and a significant power imbalance—suffer multi-layered psychological injuries. Recovery is never about “what happened physically.” It is about coerced and confused consent, violation of autonomy, chronic shame, breaches of trust, and identity fragmentation. Effective help must be structured, trauma-informed, consistent, and long-term. Specific objectives, concrete methods, and step-by-step frameworks are needed for guiding survivors toward full recovery and future wellbeing.
