A Two-Dimensional Evaluative Framework for Public Expression
Moral Quotient (MQ) and Intellectual Quotient (IQ)
From the essay
This paper extends a previously proposed framework, Moral Quotient (MQ), into a broader twodimensional system for evaluating public expression. MQ was introduced as a disciplined moral lens directed not at private virtue or inner worth, but at observable public behavior: patterns of truthfulness, fairness, dignity, responsibility, and moral conduct within the media sphere. Yet moral quality alone does not exhaust the structure of public expression. A statement may be morally restrained yet intellectually empty; it may be cognitively sophisticated yet morally corrosive.
