Fighting Shingles: A Thermophysiological Approach
Clinical Version
From the essay
This clinical brief examines how controlled internal heating generated through short bouts of muscular activity (e.g., using an adaptive resistance device such as IsoTone) may support immune function and reduce severity of VZV reactivation events. Thermogenesis is presented as a physiological adjunct that may assist with symptom modulation, microcirculatory improvement, and prevention of post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN). This approach does not replace antiviral therapy, vaccination, or clinical care, but may complement standard management.
