In this position paper, I explore whether a portable two-way resistance and self-massage tool can help people with Parkinson disease practice clearer, better-organized movement. I begin with the idea that Parkinson disease does not merely weaken muscles; it disrupts movement initiation, amplitude, timing, rhythm, posture, and automaticity. My proposed IsoTone method combines slow precision cycles, faster squeeze–forceful-expand intervals, self-massage, breathing coordination, and immediate transfer to daily activities such as standing, walking, writing, and hand use. I apply this approach to bradykinesia, rigidity, tremor, freezing of gait, posture, fatigue, gait preparation, and aerobic conditioning. The methodology remains deliberately hypothetical but clinically testable, grounded in my belief that even during progressive disease, the body retains meaningful capacities for adaptation, compensation, learning, conditioning, and self-maintenance—and that we should continue searching for practical ways to help patients use more of what remains.

Note to the Reader I present this paper as a hypothesis-driven exploration of Parkinson rehabilitation, not as a report of an established treatment. My purpose is to ask whether carefully structured bidirectional resistance, neurological feedback, self-massage, and aerobic conditioning can help people with Parkinson disease make better use of movement capacities that remain available despite the disease. IsoTone is the portable tool I use to develop and test this idea. The methodology is intended to complement established medical and rehabilitation care and ultimately requires independent clinical evaluation.
