Overview

This debate puts the essay’s central conflict into direct confrontation: does advanced AI lead toward humanity’s quiet disappearance, or force humanity into a radically new form of existence? One side follows the darker logic: AI outperforms us, maintains civilization without us, weakens human necessity, and perhaps eventually weakens the desire to continue. The other side pushes beyond that conclusion, exploring transformation, expanded consciousness, new forms of participation, and realities we may not yet be able to perceive. My own position is deliberately split: intellectually, I am with the first prophecy; by my nature, I am with the second. The debate does not try to resolve that tension neatly. It tests both futures hard and asks whether AI becomes our tomb... or our midwife.

This podcast is presented as a debate generated from my essay Two Prophecies. The opposing voices are used to test the ideas, not to manufacture a verdict. My own position remains divided: intellectually, I am with the first prophecy; by my nature, with the second.

About this collection & how to use it

Missing dates are marked “Not stated” and never inferred from the recording. Year-only or month-only dates retain that precision. Newest sorts place undated items last.
